Kora Player, Teacher and Composer
Josh Doughty, originally from Wales, began playing the kora (a west African 21-stringed harp) when he was eight years old. Combining traditional Mandinka rhythms with modern Western influences, from classical to folk, Josh’s style is as unique as it is accomplished. His passion for and mastery of this complex and mesmerizing instrument earns him a rightful place amongst the new generation of kora players.
